With Illinois football enjoying a bye week after eight straight weeks of games to start the season, the Illini coaching staff is hitting recruiting trail during the fall evaluation period.

Illinois outside linebacker coach Charlie Bullen will be at Gadsden County tomorrow to see Illini OLB commit Josaiah Knight.

Illinois wide receiver coach George McDonald will be at Morgan Park on Friday to see Illini WR commit Tysean Griffin.

Illinois defensive line coach Terrance Jamison will be attending Friday’s Fairmont vs Dublin Coffman to check out Illini commit and Dublin Coffman DL Demetrius John.

Illinois wide receiver coach George McDonald will be attending Thursday’s Gatlinburg-Pittman vs Chuckey-Doak to check Illini commit and Gatlinburg-Pittman WR Carlos Orr.

Illinois tight end coach Robby Discher will be attending Friday’s Perkins County vs Cross County to check out Illini commit and Cross County TE Tanner Hollinger.

Illinois head coach Bret Bielema and offensive coordinator Barry Lunney Jr. will be attending Friday’s Madison Central vs Starkville to check out Illini commit and Starkville QB Trey Petty.

Illinois defensive back coach Antonio Fenelus was at Vero Beach today to check out Illini commit and Vero Beach DB Amar Reynolds.

Illinois linebackers coach Andy Buh will be at Cooper High School in Union, KY on Tuesday to see class of 2025 three-star edge rusher Austin Alexander.

Illinois running back coach Thaddaeus Ward was at Belleville Althoff Catholic today to see class of 2025 four-star athlete Dierre Hill and class of 2025 four-star defensive lineman Jason Dowell.
